We believe that in this world, which is becoming increasingly gray and fast-moving, there must be places where people, animals and nature can relax. Come to rest, recharge your batteries, unfold – just be. We were allowed to create one of these oases here on the farm. Very different people, encounters and stories come together here every day. Whether artists, bank employees, the neighbor next door or people who have become friends… many conversations and life stories enrich us and living together with others. It’s always nice to see when people like to come back and they can experience their time with us as a relaxing and enriching one. Artists, hobbyists, screwdrivers and energetic people come here to get creative. To make a difference, to create a small change, to bring a little more color into the world and to leave with a smile and conjure up one for the ones to come. A small subculture that is allowed to grow. We are thankful for everyone who leaves with a smile and thankful for those who put one on our lips. Everyone is welcome here who has their heart in the right place and are curious about the people and projects that will come in the future and look forward to changing something together.
But not only people influence and enrich our daily get-together. The farm is a place where people and nature can live in harmony and are allowed to continue to live. We do everything we can to ensure that nature is allowed to flourish and that animals are allowed to keep and expand their habitat. We try to give them back a piece of their living space, which they have lost through mankind. Be it through our pond, which they use as a watering hole and bathing opportunity, through the untouched meadows for protection and feeding opportunities, through feeding stations, nesting sites, but also through peace and quiet, which is then noticeable via our night vision camera. Bees, squirrels, birds, foxes, deer, hedgehogs, coypu, badgers or our nocturnal friends, the bats. Everyone has their right to exist here and, if necessary, is supported with medicine or animal sanctuaries in order to be able to continue living healthy. It is simply indescribable to observe how fox babies are born and raised every year, how shy deer suddenly drink from our pond and how a badger rests with us for a few days on its way through. While we cannot prevent the habitat from getting smaller and the conditions from getting worse, we can do our utmost here on the farm to offer them a protected space here.
“Everything that nature herself decrees is good for some purpose. The whole of nature is actually nothing else than a connection of phenomena according to rules; and there is no irregularity anywhere.”, Immanuel Kant
